Shops in the Park

FooZoo (Food Shop)

FooZoo is a food court in the building just inside the Shinsekai Gate. Visitors can enjoy the Zoo's original menu items such as the Kirin-dog (“giraffe” hotdog) with a paper wrap showing the patterns of our giraffes and Dippin’ Dots’ Shirokuma-crepe (“polar bear” crepe).
GooZoo (Souvenir Shop)

GooZoo is a souvenir shop in the building just inside the Shinsekai Gate. A variety of original goods are available, such as stuffed animals like Red Panda and polar bear.
Savanna Shop (Food & Souvenir Shop)

The Savanna Shop is located near the Tiger House on the north side of the Zoo. In addition to popular take-out items such as soft ice cream and shaved ice, there are cute stuffed animals, key chains, and other goods that children will enjoy. Please take a break on the bench and enjoy a relaxing moment on the lawn.
“Kitchen Cars” (Food Trucks)

The food trucks are parked in the open space just inside the Shinsekai Gate and next to the Red Panda House. The animal-patterned food trucks at the Shinsekai Gate offers French fries, fried chicken, and other popular snacks, as well as soft ice cream and takoyaki (octopus balls), which can be enjoyed while walking around the Zoo.
Vending Machines

Vending machines for beverages and ice cream are available throughout the Zoo. Some of the beverage vending machines also sell candy and snacks. Be sure to look for the animal figures on the tops of some of the vending machines!

Coin Lockers (fee)

Coin lockers are available just inside and to the left of the Shinsekai Gate, and just inside the Tenshiba Gate to the left. Luggage that does not fit in the coin lockers can be left at the stroller rental counter on the Shinsekai Gate side. (There is a charge.) Drop off all your heavy luggage and enjoy strolling around the Zoo.

Wheelchairs (free)

Five wheelchairs are available at the Shinsekai Gate and four at the Tenshiba Gate; there is a power-assist one at both gates. This is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check with the gate staff.
Umbrellas (free)

There are umbrellas at both gates that can be borrowed in case of rain. Please return them at the exit.
Baby Strollers (fee)

Baby strollers are available for rent at the open space in front of the building that houses GooZoo (on the Shinsekai Gate side) and just to the left inside the Tenshiba Gate. All the strollers were new as of spring 2019. There are 3-wheel and 4-wheel strollers that are easy to push. (A limited number are available). Please return them when leaving the Zoo even if you plan to re-enter. They cannot be held for you. Thank you for your understanding.
Elephant Strollers (fee)

Elephant strollers that are popular with children are available for rent in front of the building that houses GooZoo (on the Shinsekai Gate side). Please note that the rental of elephant strollers may be suspended during the busiest times for safety reasons. Please return them when leaving the Zoo even if you plan to re-enter. They cannot be held for you. Thank you for your understanding.

Inside FooZoo

There are two diaper changing tables, hot water for formula, and a diaper disposal pail at this location. The room can be used by two mothers and their children at the same time; please take turns using the rooms during the busy times.
Shinsekai Gate

There are two diaper changing tables and a diaper disposal pail at this location. The room can be used by two mothers and their children at the same time; please take turns using the rooms during the busy times.
Inside the Friendship Garden

One diaper changing table and a diaper disposal pail is available at this location. Only one family is allowed at a time; please take turns using the room during the busy times.

Water Station

Located just inside the Shinsekai Gate. Bring your own water bottle and fill it for free.

Diaper-changing Tables and Baby Chairs

Diaper-changing tables and baby chairs are available in the nursing rooms and in many of the restrooms throughout the Zoo. (Not available in some of the older restrooms.)
First-aid Station

Located on the right when you enter the Shinsekai Gate. If you are not feeling well, please notify the gate staff. (The room is usually kept locked.)
Public Telephone

Located next to the Flamingo House.
