Himalayan Monal Lophophorus impejanus

Himalayan Monals live in scrub forests of alpine regions at elevations between 2,100 and 4,500 meters, in pairs during the breeding season and alone or in small groups during the rest of the year. Males have glossy feathers from head to back and crest feathers on their heads.
