Chinese Grey Wolf Canis lupus chanco

Chinese Grey Wolf Canis lupus chanco

Chinese Grey Wolves live in groups of about 6 to 10 individuals, each consisting of a family. There is a hierarchy within the group, and only the top males and females reproduce. The other members are in charge of hunting and supporting the young. The hierarchy can change, and before breeding season, fighting intensifies. If an individual loses a fight, their rank can drop or they can no longer stay in the group. In that case, they will leave the group and live alone, but their survival rate is low. They have the stamina to run for long periods of time in search of prey, and there have been cases of them running for more than six hours. They claim their territory by howling and urine marking.
