Entering the nocturnal animal house is just like being in a cave. Here, you can see the way these animals move in the darkness. In addition to the usual bats and other nocturnal animals, the Tennoji Zoo is the only place in Japan that you can see kiwi birds.

Drills are primates known for their jet-black faces, and the Tennoji Zoo Monkey and Baboon House is the only place in Japan you can find them. While you’re there, check out Siamangs and François’s Langurs as well as many other fascinating primate species.
